Dwarf Monitors
Dwarf Monitors are extremely popular in captive collections, due to the managable size, handling ability, and their general inquisitive nature and appearance. In the past we have been heavily involved in the Varanus genus, and in particular the Dwarfs. We are currently expanding our collection back into Dwarf's and into the Tree Monitors of the prasinus complex. Watch this space for further details.

The King's Rock Monitor (Varanus kingorum), is one of the smallest of the Monitor family reaching a maxium reported size of only 40cm. King's tend to be tame and inquisitive by nature. Our young adults are just ready for breeding trials now. This beautiful Dwarf is still relatively hard to track down in private collections.

The Red Ridge Tail/Spiny Tail Monitor (Varanus acanthurus acanthurus), otherwise known as Red Ackies, are the larger Western Australian subspecies of this very popular Dwarf Monitors. Red's are the more difficult of the two mainland sub species to obtain. Babies always sell out fast!
